Challenge
◾Prior to the introduction of a people-counting system, Clisroad Shopping Street faced significant challenges in accurately understanding pedestrian traffic patterns.
◾Traditional traffic surveys, conducted by local authority, were limited to one or two days per year, making the data highly susceptible to fluctuations caused by events or weather conditions.
◾Additionally, available big data from mobile carriers only offered estimated trends rather than actual counts, leaving shop owners and the management committee without reliable evidence to guide decision-making.
The Solution
◾To address these issues, Clisroad Shopping Street introduced the PASSER-CLOUD people-counting system in October 2024.
◾The system provides continuous, high-accuracy data on foot traffic, segmented by time of day.
◾The data is visualized through dashboards accessible to all shop owners, enabling them to analyze conversion rates and strategize based on actual visitor numbers.
The Result
◾Clisroad Shopping Street has gained valuable insights into pedestrian behavior and traffic trends. Publishing these statistics has strengthened the district’s brand and contributed to rising property values, benefiting both shop owners and local landlords.
