◾LalaPort Kohoku is located in a highly competitive commercial area with numerous large shopping centers within a 1km radius.
◾The facility had to stand out and increase its value to attract more visitors.
The Solution
◾In 2024, Tokyu Land SC Management adopted a people counting system and customer demographic analysis system provided by Giken Trastem.
◾These systems were implemented to gain a quantitative understanding of visitor numbers and demographics, which were previously unknown.
The Result
◾Increased Visitor Insights: The system revealed significant differences in visitor numbers between weekdays and weekends and identified a high number of elderly visitors.
◾Strategic Adjustments: Data showed unexpected high foot traffic from the Center North Station entrance, leading to a reassessment of promotional strategies.
◾Enhanced Communication: Sharing visitor data with tenants and local stakeholders improved collaboration and strategic planning, contributing to the overall value enhancement of the facility.
